Now that you're familiar with how the game works and that combining your shards can lead to new powers, it's time to figure out what those powers are! Please use this post to ask questions about potential power combinations, in the comment below. Once you and your thread partner(s) have determined what power you would like for your characters to have, leave a comment down below describing your shared power and I will approve it or ask for changes!
Here's a brief rundown on how powers work: for characters with the same shard, your original powers will be amplified based on how strong your relationship is. For characters with different shards, you will receive a brand new power when you focus and choose to create a bond during battle. This power will be your only power for the duration of the bond; your original power is sealed and unable to be used. Bonds can be broken or frayed very easily early on - things like arguments, doubt in your partner(s), or not trusting your partner(s) can lead to the bond breaking. Should this happen, you'll regain your original power immediately.
Negative CR works a little differently. You only require some level of trust between you and your partner(s). That trust can be something like "I trust you to do the stupidest thing possible at any given moment" and the bond will still work! Negative CR also has one hidden benefit - if the bond breaks, it will cause an explosion between the two characters! If you're too close to each other, you could get caught in the explosion, so look out for that. As negative CR bonds are very easy to break, this could even potentially be used to your advantage...
Please fill out the following form to submit for your new powers! You will need to submit new powers for each group of bonds: for example, if an Onyx and Diamond character have a power, you will need to resubmit for a new power if they partner up with a Ruby character. This can apply up to all seven colors of shards!
Bonds with characters of the same shard color do not need to be submitted, as your powers will strengthen naturally. This will always override bonds with characters of a different shard - so for example, if two Sapphires and an Emerald have a bond, only the Emerald will receive a new power. The Sapphires will instead have their original power strengthened!
